ดีฟันด์เดอะพอลิส
"ดีฟันด์เดอะพอลิส" (อังกฤษ: Defund the police; แปลว่า ตัดงบตำรวจ) เป็นสโลแกนที่ปรากฏใช้สนับสนุนการเลิกจัดสรรทุนให้กับสำนักงานตำรวจ และนำทุนส่วนนั้นไปใช้ในรูปที่ไม่เกี่ยวกับตำรวจ เช่น ในรูปของความปลอดภัยสาธารณะ และการสนับสนุนชุมชน เช่น บริการทางสังคม บริการแก่เยาวชน การหาที่พักอาศัย การศึกษา สาธารณสุข และทรัพยากรชุมชนอื่น ๆ นักกิจกรรมที่ใช้วลีดังกล่าวอาจใช้เพื่อแสดงความตั้งใจที่ต่างกัน บ้างต้องการให้มีการประหยัดทุนส่วนตำรวจลง ในขณะที่บางส่วนเสนอให้มีการยกเลิกทุนอุดหนุนตำรวจไปเลยเพื่อนำไปสู่การยกเลิกตำรวจไปโดยสิ้นเชิง ผู้ที่สนับสนุนการดีฟันด์เดอะพอลิสมักมีข้อเสนอที่ว่าการนำทรัพยากรไปลงทุนในกิจกรรมของชุมชนจะช่วนป้องกันไม่ให้เกิดอาชญากรรมได้ที่ต้นเหตุ เงินทุนส่วนนี้จะถูกนำไปเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาสังคม เช่น ความยากจน คนไร้บ้าน และความผิดปกติทางจิตของผู้คนในชุมชน[1][2] นอกจากนี้ยังมีกลุ่มที่เรียกร้องให้ยกเลิกระบบตำรวจ (Police abolitionists) โดยการแทนที่ตำรวจด้วยระบบอื่น เช่น ความปลอดภัยสาธารณะ เช่น การจัดสรรที่อยู่อาศัย การจ้างงาน สุขภาพชุมชน การศึกษา เป็นต้น[3][4][5]
ในเดือนมิถุนายน 2020 สโลแกน "defund the police" ได้ถูกนำมาใช้อย่างกว้างขวางและได้รับความนิยมอย่างมากท่ามกลางการประท้วงกรณีจอร์จ ฟลอยด์[6] นักกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ รวมถึง แบล็กไลฟส์แมตเตอร์, มูฟเมินท์ออฟแบล็กไลฟส์ ได้ใช้วลีนี้ในการเรียกร้องให้มีการตัดงบประมาณส่วนตำรวจลง และแทนที่หน้าที่รับผิดชอบบางประการของตำรวจด้วยองค์กรอื่น ๆ แทน[7][8][9][10][11][12][13]
